Willkommen!

The Boylston Schul-Verein (BSV) is the largest German-American club in the greater Boston area. We are located in Walpole, Massachusetts. We are celebrating our 138th year in 2012. The club is the center of German-American social, cultural, and educational activities in the Boston area.

This site provides general club information such as our long and proud history, club groups and benefits, and how to become a member as well as event information and announcements.

Save the Date - Upcoming Events

Herrenabend - February 17th

Join us for our monthly Herrenabend! Chef Florian will prepare traditional Bavarian fare and the bar will have two different Bockbier available to celebrate the Bockbier season. Herrenabend starts at 7pm and is a men only event.

Karneval 2012 - February 19th

Join the Saengerchor Boston for Karneval! Costumes encouraged!

Karneval starts at 1pm with a cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner and dancing to the tunes of the Rhythm Band until 7pm.

The Rajko Band Concert - February 26th

Join the BSV and enjoy a special musical treat - the Rajko Band!

This famous Hungarian band plays in the tradition of true gypsy orchestras as well as selections from romantic and classical composers.

Heimat Abend - March 10th

Join the GALS for their annual Heimatabend!

Dinner and dancing will make for an evening of great fun. Dinner at 5.30pm, followed by dancing to The Mountain Tops from 7pm to 11pm.

Herrenabend - March 16th

Join us for our monthly Herrenabend! Chef Werner will prepare his famous wings and the bar will have special beers on tap! Herrenabend starts at 7pm and is a men only event.

Wine Tasting Spain - March 24th

Join us for our 3rd wine tasting at the BSV!

This time we will visit Spain, five dishes paired with five wines. Our wine expert Karen will lead us through the evening.

Spring Show - April 1st

Don't be an April's fool and miss the Spring Show!

The BSV presents the 2012 Spring Show with great entertainers from Germany performing live in the great hall.

The Spring Show starts at 1pm with an Imbiss, showtime is 2.30pm to 6.30pm, dancing encouraged!

Strauss Ball - April 14th

Join us for the annual Strauss Ball with the Norbert Ludewig Orchestra!

Cocktails and dinner from 5pm on, the band will play for your entertainment and dancing pleasure from 7pm on. Formal or semi-formal attire requested.

Beerfest (Sommerfest) and Oktoberfest dates!!!

Our annual German Beerfest will be celebrated on June 16th and 17th!

The Oktoberfest will be held on September 8th and 9th!

Rathskeller News

Winter time calls for a dark, full flavored beer!

We will be offering Weihenstephan Korbinian for a limited time this winter season. To read a review of this beer, please click here.

Rathskeller Hours

The Rathskeller is open during the week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting the second week in September. It will also be open on selected Friday evenings.
