G.A.L.S.

The German-American Ladies Society (G.A.L.S.) was founded in the 1920s under the name of the Boylston Schul-Verein (BSV) Damenzweig (Ladies Branch) to promote friendship and keep alive the German language traditions.

The current German-American Ladies Society was organized in 1975 just before the BSV moved to its new location in Walpole. The goal of the G.A.L.S. is to promote social activities and lend support to the aims and endeavors of the BSV.

Presently there are about 54 members. The regular monthly meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the BSV. Dues are $15.00 annually and a $10.00 initiation fee.

The G.A.L.S. host two dinner dances (Heimatabend in April and the Bavarian Night in October), the Christmas Bazaar and the Childrens Christmas party. At these events funds are raised to benefit worthy causes! The G.A.L.S. strongly supports the BSV with help at their outdoor functions and by making generous donations.
